This AI Disclaimer explains how artificial intelligence relates to MaxDomains, a domain discovery and price comparison service operated by MaxPoints LLC, doing business as MaxPoints (“MaxPoints,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It also describes important limitations that would apply to any MaxDomains feature expressly identified as AI-powered.

Your use of MaxDomains is also governed by our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

The current search is not generative AI

The current MaxDomains release does not use an AI model to generate domain search results, recommendations, rankings, or prices. When you submit a name, your browser normalizes the text and MaxDomains requests live availability, registration prices, and renewal prices from OpenSRS for a curated catalog of extensions, plus the extension you typed if it is not already included.

These registrar results are not predictions, but they can change between search and registration. They do not reserve a name or determine that a name is legally available for your use. MaxDomains checks availability and price again before submitting an order.

If MaxDomains offers AI-powered features

If we introduce a user-facing feature that uses artificial intelligence, we will identify it as AI-powered where appropriate. This disclaimer will apply to domain ideas, explanations, comparisons, rankings, summaries, or other material generated by that feature (collectively, “AI Outputs”).

Artificial intelligence is probabilistic. AI Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, biased, offensive, repetitive, insecure, or unsuitable for your intended use. An AI Output may sound confident even when it is wrong, and the same or similar input may produce different results.

Review and independently verify results

You are responsible for reviewing and validating both registrar results and any AI Outputs before relying on them or registering, purchasing, publishing, marketing, or otherwise using a domain. Before taking action, confirm live availability, current first-year and renewal pricing, taxes, fees, eligibility rules, and final transaction terms with the registrar or other provider completing the transaction.

You should also perform appropriate trademark and legal clearance, check spelling and possible confusion with other names, and decide whether a domain is suitable for your audience and purpose. Do not rely on MaxDomains or an AI Output as your only source of information for an important business or legal decision.

Safeguards and their limits

MaxDomains identifies live registrar data, displays first-year and renewal prices separately, and rechecks both price and availability before orders. These measures are designed to make the limits of the experience clearer, but they cannot prevent every misunderstanding, error, omission, or misuse.

If AI-powered features are added, we may use notices, technical controls, testing, monitoring, or review processes intended to reduce harmful or unreliable results. No safeguard can make an AI system completely accurate, unbiased, secure, or appropriate for every context, and safeguards do not replace your own review.

Your information and instructions

The domain text you enter is sent to the MaxDomains server and OpenSRS for registrar lookup, but it is not sent to an AI model. Registration contact details are sent to OpenSRS only when you submit an order. Our Privacy Policy explains the operational, analytics, authentication, and diagnostic information associated with the Services.

If a future AI-powered feature processes information differently, we will update our disclosures or provide an appropriate notice. Do not submit credentials, sensitive personal information, confidential material, trade secrets, regulated data, or content you do not have the right to provide to an AI-powered feature.

No professional advice

MaxDomains results and any AI Outputs are provided for general informational and domain-discovery purposes only. They do not constitute legal, trademark, financial, tax, cybersecurity, or other professional advice and do not create a professional-client relationship. Consult a qualified professional when advice is needed for your circumstances.

Names, ownership, and third-party rights

A suggested or displayed name may be identical or similar to a trademark, business name, personal name, domain, or other protected material. MaxPoints does not guarantee that a result or AI Output is original, exclusive, registrable, non-infringing, or available for ownership or use. Receiving a result gives you no ownership, priority, or other rights in that name.

Laws concerning AI-generated material and intellectual property vary and continue to develop. You are responsible for obtaining any rights, permissions, licenses, and professional review needed for your use of a result or AI Output.

Third-party providers

The current domain search sends your search text to OpenSRS, not an AI provider. If a future AI-powered feature uses a third-party model or service, that provider may process submitted content under applicable contractual restrictions and may have its own terms and policies. We will update relevant disclosures as the feature and its data practices require.

Registrar, registry, hosting, and other third-party services are separate from MaxDomains and remain responsible for their own content, pricing, availability, security, decisions, and performance.

No guaranteed outcomes

MaxPoints does not guarantee that MaxDomains results or any AI Outputs will meet your requirements, identify the best domain, remain available, improve your business, avoid disputes, or be free from defects, omissions, vulnerabilities, or third-party claims. Results and AI Outputs do not replace your own judgment or due diligence.

No warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAXDOMAINS RESULTS, ANY AI-POWERED FEATURES, AND AI OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. MAXPOINTS DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some exclusions may not apply to you. Nothing in this AI Disclaimer excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

The limitations of liability in our Terms of Service apply to MaxDomains results, AI-powered features, and AI Outputs. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MaxPoints is not responsible for losses or damages arising from reliance on a result or AI Output, failure to review or verify it, or actions taken in connection with it. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this AI Disclaimer as MaxDomains, AI technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated disclaimer and revise the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
